Sam Linares started Long Island Sound, Stage, and Lighting INC. (formerly Fairfield Pro AV) out of his two car garage before becoming a corporation in 2005. He found his interest in the field when he was asked to help with a job running lights on the weekend. He says he loved the ability to meet so many new people.

After that Sam joined a labor pool and began traveling to more and more jobs. His company began to grow after working on an event for ESPN. Following that he was asked to do an eight month tour for Dreamworks. As he was working this job he realized that he had an opportunity to make his work easier. He decided to invest in equipment and began renting it to his clients. For 15 years he maintained solid relationships with his clients as well as building up the rest of his clientele.

Fast- forwarding to present day Sam is now joined by many family members in his company. Although he didn't intend for it to be a family company he has passed on his love for the production field to his son, Sam Linares JR., who runs the sister location in North Carolina.
